Censorship in America with Clif High, Pt. 1

Clif High rejoins the program in this two part interview. This episode we discuss the censorship that is occurring throughout social media channels, particularly YouTube.

According to multiple sources, when YouTube decided to pull ads from “fake news” sites, over 24,000 YouTube creators, who were making a living from their YouTube channel, lost most, if not all, of their earnings. Many were making substantial amounts, enough to support families. Although the mainstream media did not cover the story, it is quite substantial; it represents one of the largest one time job and income loss we have seen since the depth of the 2008 recession. 

Upon further research, many of the demonetized channels were those not vetted by YouTube before they used words such as “Syria”, “Trump”, “ISIS”, or any other current political topic. CNN, CNBC, FOX, and other vetted channels are the only channels allowed to use these words without restriction, but independent outlets are controlled. When Google explains the situation or when a mainstream media channels do happen to cover the story, they claim they are targeting hate speech, white supremacists, and other nefarious groups. But reality is painting a different story; any independent source using specific words or topics are also being targeted.
