Colonel Douglas Macgregor is a decorated, retired U.S. Army officer who served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defense from 2020 until President Trump left office. He is widely known for his leadership in the Battle of 73 Easting and for his books on military transformation, including Breaking the Phalanx and Transformation under Fire, and holds a PhD in international relations from the University of Virginia.
